Kamen Rider Fourze (2012) Episodes 21-22 Overview

Alright, Cram Session, Part 2: Cram Hard with a Vengeance! I should warn again, don’t expect much as far as pics goes here, and I’m only really going to touch upon things instead of go in-depth, although it won’t be as brief as the previous overview I did for Episodes 16-20.

Kamen Rider Fourze (2011) Episodes 16-20 Overview

Well, it’s time for another cram session of impressions from Fourze Episodes 16-20! I should probably warn you that things will not be as excessive here as far as content goes, and there will not be any pictorial content, but for those interested in what I’ve thought about Fourze at this point, keep reading on ahead….

Hiatus’ are no fun….

You’ll have to forgive for the lack of updates as of late, but unfortunately everything has been busy on the real life front. In order to make things slightly easier on the Fourze front, I am going to do a batch review of Episodes 16-20, and from here on out, do the reviews in the 2 episode arcs, that way one can get the whole sense of the story, but more importantly, it will give me more time to structure my reviews and have more to say. We may not be the timeliest here, but we try to go for more quality over quantity, which will be important as we get ready for doing a Show Overview of Gokaiger and we also add Gobuster to the lineup.

Another nice part of grouping episode arcs together is that it also gives me more time to go back to the retro shows like ’71 Kamen Rider and Ultraman as those are easier to access than the newer shows.

As for when we start back up? That’s kinda of a good question, but the best way to find out is to either subscribe to us on WordPress or Twitter, everything we do gets linked up there. Stay Gold and we hope to get more Toku on soon.

Kamen Rider Fourze (2011) Episode 15 Review

The Kajin that you see here is the Perseus Zodiarts, who’s primary attacks consist of brute swordplay, along with a Medusa arm that can turn objects into stone. Really not too special so to speak, but this episode sparks for different reasons, as Hayami takes center stage and his actor shows his Rider chops by simply chewing the scenery around him, while Yuki shows that she’ll probably be getting her own single during the course of the shows’ run.

Kamen Rider Fourze (2011) Episode 14 Review

The Kajin that this arc has focused on is the Scorpio Zodiarts, shown here in it’s Supernova-mode. To be honest, it ends up becoming more like a tank of sorts, with some added mobility so it’s not completely slowed down via it’s scorpion-legs, but to be honest it’s designed more for sheer power, along with it’s super-stinger. This episode concludes the arc in which Miura has to make a choice whether or not to become the Orion Zodiarts again, and the viewer has to deal with the shocking revelation of Sonada’s true identity as the Scorpio Zodiarts.

Kamen Rider Fourze (2011) Episode 13 Review

The gentleman that you see here is Kouhei Hayami, the principal of AHS. Those with a bit of Kamen Rider knowledge remember him from Kamen Rider Blade as Tachibana/Kamen Rider Garren, aka Mr. I-like-to-betray-everything-in-sight-and-be-emo-about-it. You have to at least be impressed they got the color on his jacket right, eh? With this episode the identity of the Scorpio Zodiarts is finally revealed as we race towards a showdown and a frantic march to help the former Orion Zodiarts.

Kamen Rider Fourze (2011) Episode 12 Review

The Zodiarts that you see here is the Pyxis Zodiarts, which has two main abilities to speak of: First is it’s Dowsing Blades, which not only help with close-quarters combat but can also track down any item or person if it has a mental image of it, then there is it’s ability to telekinetic-ally deflect any long-range attack, making it a formidable enemy enough to give Fourze quite a bit of trouble. In this episode we see Hiroki get a little too starstruck, Kengo gives us our first Emo Moment for this year’s Kamen Rider show, and we see some more smart Switch using by Fourze.

Kamen Rider Fourze (2011) Episode 11 Review

See this lovely visage of beauty here? This is Hiroki, a very loopy individual who is the leader of the Astronomy Club, and as you can tell by the picture, this episode’s Zodiart. The KRC runs into some big trouble this episode, mainly dealing with the sudden disappearance of the Rabbit Hutch’s locker entrance which causes a great deal of anger from Kengo at the others.

More Technical Difficulties

Normally you would see me post on Twitter if there are any extensive delays in getting out reviews, but in this case I’m going to post here just to give everyone a heads up. Basically we’re looking at having to delay all future posts until either Friday of this week or sometime next week due to Cable Modem failure, as we’re going to need to get a replacement modem in order to get back on the web. I’m currently posting from my phone right now, which is great for this, but not good for the reviews.

Needless to say folks, do not think your cable modems are invincible. Also, RCA no longer makes the greatest products in the world, eh?

Kamen Rider Fourze (2011) Episode 10 Review

The Kaijin that you see here is the Altar Zodiarts, which primarily focuses on distance-based combat via its’ telekinetic powers along with it’s fire-based evolution brought on by Ritsuko. It has some short-range attack prowness via the “Fire-Hair” Technique which you see in the start of the episode. This episode, while not as powerful as the second episode of the Shun Arc, still packs an emotional punch as the KRC move to snatch Tomoko from the Witches’ Coven.
